Kite Club Cabarete is the only Kite Boarding centre in Cabarete to offer IKO Instructo and IKO Assistant training Courses. All IKO training courses are lead by Kite Club’s very own Training Master and Examiner, Jon Dodds. We offer complete IKO Instructor Training course Packages, including IKO Instructor Training Course Level 1, IKO Assistant Instructor course, MFA First Aid & CPR and pre/post course training and shadowing to ensure you pass all requirements. We also have great opportunities for work experience and employment for successful candidates.
Candidates for an IKO Instructor Training Course Level 1 must meet the prerequired level before attending. Please read the prerequisites at the bottom of this page, if you need more pre training to qualify then please check our 2 or 6 week courses.

Weeks 1,2,3 & 4 pre training (Instruction & Equipment) to get you up to the required entry level for the IKO Instructor Training program.
Week 5 IKO Assistant Instructor Course, First Aid CPR Course
Week 6 IKO Instructor Course Level 1
Prerequisites: IKO Instructor Level 1
- Be at least 18 years old,
- Have a valid IKO Assistant Instructor certification,
- Have a valid first aid and CPR,
- Sign the ITC candidate waiver and participation form.
- Must be able to read and write in the language the course is given (English)
Prerequisites: IKO Assistant Instructor Course
Be at least 16 years old (candidates under 18 years old must obtain parental consent),
Be certified as an IKO Member Level 3N or have an equivalent level. To access the ITC, you have to demonstrate the requested skills during the AITC-Plus. To make sure your riding skills can be evaluated during the AITC-Plus, you can bring a video of you demonstrating these requested skills. This in case there is not enough wind during the course to perform the riding test.
